Who Am I?
I am bilingual and bicultural, Japanese and American, with conversational proficiency in Mandarin Chinese. I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a B.A. in Computer Science and a minor in Philosophy. My work and interests center on building a more ethical technological future, including AI safety, governance, and responsible innovation, while also extending into sustainability-focused fields such as permaculture and hydroponic gardening.
I lived abroad in Tokyo, Japan for several years and have traveled across many countries, experiences that shaped my interest in culture, language, and global perspectives. Through these travels, I also developed a passion for photography, which is featured throughout this website.
Over the past several years, I have continued to develop my skills in software development, data analysis, machine learning, and other technology-related areas through my education, professional experience, and independent projects. Across these experiences, I am interested in work that connects technical problem-solving with ethical responsibility, environmental sustainability, and meaningful real-world impact.
